LEAP OnStage (LOS) is an acclaimed Playwriting Residency that Immerses young people in the immediacy of storytelling, linear thinking and creative expression. LOS is a year-long playwriting, play production, and theater performance signature program.

LOS students are introduced to the impact of theater as an art form and the thrill of live performance. The 31 session residency provides a safe and structured platform for students to creatively express themselves, enhance their literacy and writing skills, work collaboratively, and celebrate one another's accomplishments.

Led by Master LEAP Teaching Artists, skilled New York theater professionals and publishers, students learn dramatic structure and write their own 10-minute plays. Broadway luminaries and professionals visit the LOS schools to provide an inside view of career opportunities, empasize goal-setting, and speak on the significance of collaboration and determination.

LEAP OnStage is a program of Learning through an Expanded Arts Program (LEAP), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to improving the quality of public education through a hands-on, arts-based approach to teaching the academic curriculum. LEAP empowers students to reach their full potential.
