LeAp in Action
All LeAp programs use a variety of hands-on activities and arts-based strategies-in visual arts, music, dance, theater, creative writing and media arts-that directly teach the academic curriculum and foster creativity and academic excellence. LeAp's arts integration approach reinforces higher-level thinking skills, employs research techniques, and builds vocabulary. Programs range from learning math through architecture and fraction quilts, and English through playwriting and songwriting to exploring science through cooking and dance, and social studies through murals and slam poetry.
Each year, LeAp serves thousands of students, teachers, and parents and provides in-school residencies, afterschool programs, parent engagement workshops, teacher trainings, and educational assemblies.
